Pavilion and flowers in Vondelpark

I walked and biked past this spot so many times before actually noticing it. Now it's one of my favourite viewpoints in Vondelpark! It reminds me of a rustic fairy garden – there are hundreds of wildflowers that sway in the wind while reflecting light in a heavenly way. Surely this is the kind of spot where fairies like to live? ( if they exist ;) ) Especially because there's a gate that prevents the public from going into the area, oooh so mysterious... I always wonder, who is allowed to go in there? What lives between the wildflowers? And why is there a random pavilion resting between it all? If you know the answer to these questions, please don't tell me - I enjoy dreaming about all the possibilities.

This spot is hidden in plain sight, next to one of the bike paths right by an entrance to the park. For those who are fortunate enough to visit Vondelpark, try spotting it the next time you go. Take a coffee and pastry with you, as there is a wooden bench to sit on and take in the magical fairy garden.
